Essential Functions, Job Duties, and Responsibilities:
A QA/QC Engineer follows up on the daily implementation of construction and to ensure that quality of the work being delivered by the project team is in compliance with project quality plan, procedures and instructions. In addition to monitoring and managing the quality of the project, a QA/QC engineer implements and safely executes commissioning and handover the relevant systems and phases of the project on schedule, per specifications and on budget.
- Monitors implementation of the Project Quality Management and quality Control System through daily site assessment and regular audits and reviews.
- Meet the subcontractors 3 week before work start and discuss the submittals approval, any outstanding RFI’s and material
- Establishes and monitors subcontractor’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure quality performance in different areas of the project and at various project Phases.
- Develops, monitors, and ensures QA/QC requirements are communicated and incorporated into every subcontractor’s activity, delivered materials, and purchase Orders.
- Follows up on action items and maintains status register.
- Creates and monitors the quality of the punch list
- Conducts field reviews and inspections of ongoing and completed work to verify competency and accuracy with respect to approved construction methods and applications.
- Prepares testing and commissioning method statements in coordination with vendors, contractor, subcontractor representative’s and project owner’s representative,
- Coordinates the preparation of the final handing over documents such as QC QA documents, testing and commissioning reports etc.
- Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
